Moodle to Canvas: Student Information

Announced back in fall of 2023, St. Norbert College is moving from Moodle to Canvas for our Learning Management System. What does that mean for students? After the semester ends, you will no longer be able to access Moodle. Files you've submitted for assignments may already be in your Google Drive, but if you want to download other resources, such as a syllabus, you will need to do so before the end of the semester. More information can be found in this article. If you need any assistance with this, contact the ITS Service Desk at servicedesk@snc.edu or 920-403-4040.

Moodle Login Change - April 11

Hello and Happy Friday of Spring Break!

I hope everyone was able to have a revitalizing week away.

What's happening?
Students, Staff, and Faculty will be required to login to Moodle using Okta.  

When is this happening?
April 11th, between 6 and 8 AM.

What do I need to do?
If you haven't yet, please sign up for Okta.  https://snc.edu/go/oktasetup
Starting April 11th, when you click on "Log in" on the Moodle site, you'll be redirected to the Okta login page instead of the current login page. 

Please stop by the Service Desk in Cofrin, give us a call at 920-403-4040, or send us an email servicedesk@snc.edu if you run into any problems setting up your Okta account.

Why is this happening?
This is being done to provide a consistent experience when logging in to all of our platforms that require people to sign in. You will see other platforms integrate with Okta, including Google Applications.

Faculty Moodle Survey

Faculty and Instructors! We want to know your thoughts! 

Given the importance of the LMS, ITS in partnership with Academic Affairs has put together a working group of students, faculty and staff that will conduct a review of our existing LMS (Moodle) to determine if it best meets today’s needs as well as supports future needs of the college.

Your insights will help to define the criteria used to review Moodle and other LMSs. Your responses to the survey will be kept confidential and will be represented only in aggregate form.

This is a brief survey and we would appreciate your detailed thoughts on the subject matter!
